Art: Color (Part 1)

Still remember when we was kid the common question asked is “what is your favourite color?”... red, blue, yellow, orange, purple, green, brown and many more...

Color is something that people identify with at a very early age. Either we realizing it or not, through color we learn to recognize an object and be able to distinguish an object with another object. A simple example parents teach kids different color between the sky and clouds is blue and white.

The Creator created the environment with colors makes the world interesting, colorful and meaningful. We often hear the poetic words that expressed colors is life and life is something that is experienced by a person with full of color.

Actually, color is one of the important element of art in expression or to express the emotion directly. The use of color in daily life or artwork can evoke mood. Different colors will create the different mood. This is closely related to meaning of color to person based on their own lifestyle, culture and environment. Let’s choose one color and give your meaning. What is mood can you feel in red?

According to the psychology of color red symbolizes love and courage. No wonder red roses is always given to someone as a symbol to express feelings of love. My own opinion red color used as domain on  book cover “The Rules of Love”, by Richard Templar to attract the people to get the book.

Both scenery pictures above, I captured it in the same day and place but different times and a bit different angles. The result is different in color and of course will given a different feel of mood. I don’t want to give any comment for the photographs because I want you to feel free and use your own soul... :-)
